My question is. Is it wise to have a couple of days off training to recover. I am entering the Yorshire NPA novice class May 28th for the first time so was wondering if i should just keep on training 6 days a week. The reason ive been training 6 days a week is to work my weak muscles twice a week, would this little rest set me back or will it help me come back stronger overall?

I would say listen to your body, if it's crying out for a rest day then do it. The last thing you want to do is overtrain yourself, especially on restricted calories.
