Yes .This  event is  being registered for  drug testing.Lifters are expected to comply fully with WADA anti doping regulations.Lifters competing in GBPF/IPF events should also ,in my opinion ,have and support a drug free ethos in the sport.
Membership of GBPF does,l understand, require members to be available for out of competition testing as well.
GBPF have tested 12 lifters out of competition this year so far.
To compete in this event you must be a FULL 2011 REGISTERED  GBPF MEMBER .
Please refer to the news section on the GBPF web site and details of  non eligibility of lifters who compete for non tested federations.
Bournemouth Barbell  is a community amatuer sports club and membership is open to anyone who competes in and is fully signed up  (affiliated) to a  N.G.B that recognises and applies WADA  anti doping policies (UKA,GBPF,BDFPA included).
The club accepts membership from anyone that has a drug free ethos to sport.
I hope that helps to set the scene in response to your question Bull.
The GBPF and the BDFPA (25 tests so far this year) are drug testing powerlifting federations who have banned lifters who test positive.
Our club is affiliated to both of these federations. Some of our members are affiliated to several WADA style drug testing federations (UKA,GBPF and BDFPA for instance) and fully comply to being tested by all three.
Hope to see you there.
                                                                  Regards,
                                                                       Paul
