Its early days for entries but the first ladies and second mens entries have arrived. Many of our local lifters who hope to be competing in the WORLDS POWER in Glasgow in November are going to focus on single lifts at the All England ,using this competition as part of their preparation for the World Powerlifting Championships.
The warm up area will now have three  specialist Squat/Bench Combinations with "bench safetys" similar to the kit on the main platform. To create even more space in the warm up room a special area behind the M.C.s tables will now be used for the lifters report area when their competition is taking place.
If we get more than 40 entries we will consider using Saturday for willing local new lifters to compete.
End of year membership will be available from October 1st .Forms available from the BDFPA web site /membership.
Drug testing will take place at this competition. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you require further information.
                                                                    Regards,
                                                                      Paul

18 entries so far with time ticking away to get your entries in.Probably looking to have 40 entries at the most .With the Worlds in Glasgow in November we anticipate fewer than last year (about 80).Give me a ring or email if you need further information.
                                                                       Regards,
                                                                         PAUL

Hi Glen,
Closing date is the 17th October. Both single lifts and full power--equipped and unequipped .With the WDFPF World Powerlifting Championships taking place in Glasgow just two weelks after the All England we anticipated fewer entries than last year but the uptake has been quite strong so far and our expected 40 powerlifting places are filling up fast. Please get your entries in as soon as possible to guarantee a place. The competition is open(no qualifying performance needed)to all BDFPA members.End of year membership available for 10.Entry form and Poster are available on the BDFPA web site under Events-All England.
Hope you will enter Glen.It would be good to see you lift.
                                                              Regards,

Alistair Cannings our club web master will post the entries received so far on www.bournemouthbarbell.co.uk this weekend.
36 power or bench received.Mostly unequipped. With a good bench only entry so far (requiring less time than power)we will be able to go to 50 entries, so with 3 weeks until entries close (closing date 17th Oct.) do not miss the deadline and end up disappointed.Call me if in any doubt or requiring further information.
                                                            Regards to all,
                                                                  Paul
P.S. OPEN Weightlifting comp on Saturday afternoon (BWL) 29th Oct and Strength Challenge on Sat. am C&J--BENCH--DEADLIFT for Uni ,College and School lifters or new lifters (Bournemouth Barbell )

Im so tempted to do this
i lifted at the Combined service this week and was going to go for a 4th squat to go for the Mil/Police/Fire brit squat record to be told it wouldnt count as it wasnt a national level comp i find this strange that you can lift more than a record at a qualifier but the record wont stand

so might do this to get the record

John i thought this was still classed as a regional qualifier but does not have to be done in your region (i.e where i lift now i have to do the east midlands)?
