Hope to phase weigh ins as our number of referees in the SC is increasing steadily.Should have 12 available including National and International.Details of any weigh in time phasing will be published nearer the event. No change to the distribution between the two days for various weightclasses.

Hi Paul,

If someone were to lift in the BUCS championships would they, assuming the qualifying total was achieved, qualify for the British Powerlifting 2013?

Thanks

Dear Simon,
For Southern Counties members this event (Nov 17/18th) is the main qualifier for all 2013 British Championships. We will also run a "Last Ditch " competition in January.Date to be decided when 2013 British Fixtures are published.
For those from other Divisions the total or lift will count as a qualification number BUT all lifters have to satisfy their own divisions requirement regarding lifting in their Divisional Qualifier!!You will have to contact your Divisional secretary to find out what you need to do.
Pat Reeves should also be able to help you in this respect.Hope this helps.Do not hesitate to contact me directly if you need any further help.
                                                                            Regards,
                                                                               Paul

Thanks for your help, Paul.

I believe that my division would be the South-East (I live in London), so I'll find out from them what the deal is with British qualification if I lift at the British Uni's comp.

Cheers

At the moment yu may need to contact Pat Reeves the BDFPA SEC who will advise you.Your total will count at the Uni comp but you may still have to go to the SE divisionals if and when held.
                                                                          Regards,

Oakmead College,Bournemouth will be the venue.Facilities easier to set up with quality IT facilities in place and S&C gym  for warming up next to competition hall. All very convenient and spacious as well.Situated not far from the University and easier to get to for those travelling to the venue from away from Bournemouth.First entries have arrived!!Already looking forward to it.
                                                          Regards to all,

This is intended to be an opportunity for new lifters to get started in competition. This competition will also count as a qualifier for anyone achieving the BDFPA BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS TOTALS for 2013--Power and Single lifts.
As the Southern Counties Qualifier for 2013 as well we should have a good turn out on both days. The atmostphere has always been friendly, encouraging and positive towards new comers at our competitions.Look forward to seeing you lift.
                                                                   Regards to all,

Entries are coming in regularly now.Although we can run two platforms at any one time we really would like to use only one. This means 40 lifters a day only. Most competittors like just one platform with a focus on one lifter at a time.Getting up toward 40 overall already so space may get limited if demand keeps going at this pace.I will post a current list of entries on our bournemouthbarbell  facebook page from next week.Entry forms on the BDFPA site.Venue confirmed at Oakmead College,Bournemouth.17/18th November.
                                                            Regards to all,
