12/12/12/
Squats
60 x 2 x 5
100 x 5
140 x 3
152.5 x 5 x 5

A few of these were a little tentative which made them too ‘backy’ – must have more confidence!!

Supersetted with

Bench
80 x 5
100 x 3
112.5 x 5 x 2 (all paused and all nice and snappy) - no need to bench tonight Grin

Front squat
77.5 x 5
90 x 5
102.5 x 1 (should have been 7 or 8 )

Nothing left in my legs at all after the back squats. Could be carb reduction, or just could have been knackered. Will find out on Monday when I squat lighter doubles

All done in 30 mins

So I did this morning what I advised Toby not to do and had a cheeky weight in. 3 lb loss! Result! I know that this is mostly water/glycogen, but it keeps me motivated for the rest of the week now. Onward to the official weigh in on Monday!!

I don't know what my state of mind would have been had I maintained or put on some weight though!!

Just cheated a bit with a sneaky biscuit. Sad  Will cut out the maltodextrin from my PWO to compensate

Couldn't resist the cheeky check!

Love the biscuit treat/maltodextrin cut

Keep that behaviour up and you will win journal of the year in 2013  Grin

To add 60kg or 70 kg to some already impressive squating would be awesome tony. hey 3 pound is good and in the right direction and keeps you driving forward so thst is all good.

Is this for real Huh?
Sorry not meant to offend, just said it as I thought, read all posts on the 10th and wrongly thought that there was something a bit weird with the goals and dietry dedication early on in the posts. I apologise. Good luck !
Thinking of competing at some point myself, I can see now how my post may have added a touch of negativity.

In dietary news. I had a massive chocolate and crisp binge last night - just because they were there. At least a couple thousand calories worth. I thought I had got rid of this behaviour a few years ago, so hopefully this is a blip. Going to do a quick 'lifestyle check' to see if things like work, relationship (probably not) and Christmas stress have caused me to binge.

The positive thing is I have put it on here - previously I woyld have covered it up!! Roll Eyes

Yeah, just like a little demon on your shoulder saying "it's not going to hurt. Just eat it. You know you want to". Most times the angel shouts over him, but sometimes not LOL.  Wink

I'm not the sort of person who's appetite disappears when I'm stressed. I turn to junk food.

I've never purged thank goodness. Food costs too much to waste LOL  Tongue

purging can be many ways, some not as drastic as throwing up and I found this out some months ago and it horrified me.

Purging can include fasting in the aftermath and excessive exercise to overcome.

I had done that, many many times (smash down chocolate then skip meals the next day and double cardio) and was shocked that it meant I was bordering bulimia. Not happened even once for me since!

Anyway, not something for you to think about, just a chit chatty thought and observation
