Goals are fine at the start of the journal, but post 5, mince pies etc at weekend ? maybe not the best start to your preperation IMO, but hey, whatever works for you ! its all about keeping motivation, and the odd cheat meal or two helps Grin

I use an clean 'grip'. Just 2nd and 3rd fingers just outside my delts and keep the elbows as high as possible. I never got on with the crosed arms, so just worked a bit on my wrist flexibility. Hope that helps

So, no training Friday as I had loads to do at work and had to drop the missus of at her works do after work. Squatting today though!! Grin

Diet was pretty good over the weekend. Despite trips to the pub and Ikea , I managed to get away cheat wise with a bottle of lager and a piece of breaded fish. Actually they weren't too bad as I had virtually no carbs over the weekend apart from them.

Weight his morning at official weigh in 17 st 12 (113.5kg). Loss this week 3lb. Total loss 3lb. A good start!

I have a mini plan for Christmas mate. Just going to get enough treats in for Christmas day (crisps, nut beer etc) and not worry about the diet Christmas Day and then back on the wagon on Boxing day with Turkey and salad. I usually want to eat clean by then anyway Wink

Just wanted to clarify how you are writing. Is the 120kg bench a set of 5 then a set of 6 or six sets of five?

The way I write it is

weight x rep (for a single set at a particular weight eg 60 x 5 is 5 reps at 60 kg)

weight x sets x reps (e.g. 140 x 5 x 2 is 5 sets of 2 at 140 kg)
