I do enjoy it but I'm not really loving "having" to do it every day, esp. not 5000m. Oh well haha, only myself to blame!

I got some advice from some rower friends about drag factor and stroke rate but in trying to improve both, I seem to be going slower? Hopefully I just need to get used to rowing properly and not just going batshit crazy and hauling it as fast as possible (previously my approach).

In non-rowing news, I got 3 reps front squat at 75kg today - pleased with that as my goal for front squats is 85kg.

8 days done, glad to have a few days off now whilst I'm away!

Hoping the first row when I get back isn't too hideous.

Back from Stockholm, my friend wanted to train a couple of times while I was there and she trains in a Crossfit gym so I managed to tick off one of my 5000m rows Cheesy

How was Stockholm? Somewhere I've quite fancied but never quite made it to!

Hi Flick,

I enjoyed it - bear in mind I was visiting a friend who lives out there, so didn't have to find (or pay for!) a hotel, and had cooking facilities. The couple of meals we did eat out were great. Lots of walking - it's not a big city and it's laid out well for walkers/cyclists. As I'm sure you know it's a series of little islands, all joined by bridges, so you can easily walk the different "islands" so it feels like you're seeing loads of different areas. Lots of water, obviously. It's very beautiful. Nice architecture, interesting museums, tons of history, and lots of outdoors space to explore.

Only downside is cost of everyday things - I had to double check a couple of times (couldn't believe that vegetable soup was 8+, for example).

I've always fancied going ever since I was kidnapped.

Cheers - went even faster today?! 23:08. Kind of sad there are only 4 more sessions left - feels like I'm just getting the hang of it.

All done! 25 x 5000m rows in March  Grin

Really pleased to have stuck to it and done it - the rowing wasn't the hardest bit tbh, it was just going to the gym day in and day out whether I was busy/tired/pushed for time etc. I did some rows at very odd times of the day/night! It's got me back into a good habit of training more frequently and just getting it done.

Rowing-wise....

Slowest time 25:30:7
Fastest time 23:04:4

Goal was to go under 23:30 and I ended up doing five rows under that!

Dum de dum what shall I do next? Looks like nice weather for road biking  Wink
