Training has been going well and worth noting here is my third time flat benching since I took a long break from it and I was really happy to get 5x5@100kg today and a couple singles at 110kg and 120kg. I would say that I am close to performing at my old maximum now. Less issue from the troublesome right delt (but still an issue and it is slower and harder to push on that side and what lets me down).

The lower back problem will never recover but I did deadlifts last week, but only at 160kg x 6's but again, it has been a long time since I did them. Giving though to re-introducing squats but that may be a step too far. I have been looking more into mechanics and realised I have always just pushed weight - dropped down with a break at my hips and tried to stand back up instead of thinking through the movement. It has made me realise that I have a big buttwink and tuck it under and am going to go slow and light and see what happens. I will also try to find a specialist to look at my (alleged) spondylolisthesis and see what really is the best course of action long term
