at the weekend i have to go to Yorkshire for a funeral. So I can eat my standard diet Saturday. Now on other days i was thinking about just eating cous cous for carbs and chicken breast. I will cooked the chicken tonight and bag up to take with me. Cous cous cooks with boield water. Then for tea i will just eat what Jans mum provideds. I'm due a cheat Saturday and then we are the 2 more days so do you think this is a good idea? Taking oats and whey for my breaky as well

You could hard boil some eggs and leave them in the shell. Or microwave sweet potatoes and leave in there skin till required, do this all the time for work.

All good ideas. Remember scott cous cous comes from semolina flour so is fast acting. Maybe too fast for days worth of meals on a pre-contest diet. Better off with wholegrain rice pouches, tilda's basmati variety.

When I competed last year I had to go to a family wedding which was overnight & it was 1 week out from the Yorkshire's!!.. What I did was tuppleware everything that I ate on the diet.. ended up with about 10 tupplewares packed with my meals, oats and whey powder!.. Mustn't have disrupted me too much as I went on to win the Yorkshire lol. Also; another mention is the biggest saving grace for me when dieting was protein bars.. if I had to out and was due a meal I'd stick 1 of these in my pocket.

Yeah I used them up until 2 weeks out. But when I compete again; I would use them right up to the day of the comp if needs be.. Layne Norton came out with a good statement in the recent MD I think it was.. 'If it aint broke 2 weeks out; dont fix it!'.. Tbh; there's alot I wouldnt do if I compete again that I did last year lol I think what alot of people do when they compete is overcomplicate things when it could be alot simpler.

why dont you do what i always do.... cook 3 days worth of meals exactly as you would normally eat and box them up individually and take a small fridge to keep them cool. anything past 3 days just buy carvery turkey from sainsburies, packet micro rice and divvy up into measures so you still hit the right amounts, eat your veg raw if you cannot cook it, fruit you can get anywhere, micro your egg whites, tuna in tins, take enough protein powder, water and milk if you have it you can also get anywhere.
some might say thats extreme but if you want an extreme result in condition you may have to go to such extreme measures in these situatiuons to maintain consistancy. you dont have to upset anybody else by doing it, just keep a smile on your face the whole time and most people understand your madness. plus you dont have to stress yourself out about when and where youre getting your food from.
easy, just forward planning

Such as cutting the carbs way too low & too much cardio.. I also changed my rep ranges to alot higher 4 weeks out. The Americans are way ahead of us in terms of 'bb prep'.. In fact; the person I've seen that does exactly what I would do is Felix on here.. Taking in enough cals to remain full and just doing enough c.v to strip the fat...

I have tried low calorie diets in the past they left me as weak as water with no energy for anything as I have says before now when I diet for a show I never really ever go below 3000cals a day and allow this still leaves me quite hungry as it is still a calorie deficite for me I can now lift heavy weights right up to a show and feel pretty good energy wise . I know the low calorie route works well for some people but I still think a lot of people go far to low on calories when dieting for a show much lower than they really need to . Here are a couple of photos of me competing when I was still eating 3000cals a day some people will probably if anything say I look over dieted in these photos I have heard that says before maybe 3000cals is to low for me to go and I should try and keep my cals a bit higher than that when dieting and see how it goes .

I guess it depends on your job too. Having an office job (where im sat on my arse all day long) means 3000cals for me would be full on bulking!
