Almost a rest day
Some light dumbell work
After yesterdayís overhead presses I certainly felt it overnight with some soreness in my upper back
Which is good
Taking in some good protein

Iím making good progress in my effort to teach a 60 kg overhead barbell press
Today I did
Warm up 20 kg
Then 50kg x 1
57.5 kg x 1
59.5 kg x 1 just failed to lock out
58.5 kg x1 just failed to lock out
Seated machine overhead presses
Overloaded forced reps and partials up to 70 kg
Then heavy seated dumbell overhead presses
Finished with deadlifts to 143.5 kgs

Total rest and carb day yesterday
In hope of cracking the 60 kg overhead press
I was so tired today with
Toothache to they come out Thursday
I had 3 sessions in bed but sleep was restless and hard to
Get
I really need a good sleep session but itís failing me big time

I was looking forward to some sleep this morning but it did not happen
This afternoon will not be any better
A few heavy squats then
My attempt at 60kg overhead press
Warm up
30 kg
Then onto 60 kg failed at 3/4 lift a slight improvement
Then 57.5 kg
55kg
52.5 kg
Onto 1 set of 30 kg flat dumbell presses
Then repeat sets of heavy as I could go  cable flies
Until failure
Reverse pec dec flies heavy TIL failure
Normal pec dec flies
100 reps lightweight bi curls
Descending sets of laying light bar triceps extensions
Finished with 10 mins treadmill warm down

Sort of just light accesssery work
No gym today new teeth fitted broken one out
Stitches   now in pain as the numbness wears off

Wow  Iíve done it
A 60 kg overhead press
Warm up empty bar
Then rather than using the 15s and 5s plate to make the weight I used the two 20 kgs
And pressed it up to lock out
WOW
Then
Failed on the next rep
I moved on to partials of
62.5kg
61.5kg
50 kg for 4 reps
Onto heavy squats
Then even heavier partial overhead presses
70 kg
80 kg
85 kg all just moving the bar off the rack
Finished with dumbell flat bench
I got there
Now to improve the reps

Today I was feeling off
Slept little as the pain from my tooth extraction was hitting home
Plus some Domís in my legs and shoulders
So more chill time I think as Iím back to work tonight
So that will be my cardio

Hit the gym
Started with trying to hit my new pb plus
W up
62.5kg failed
60 kg failed
57.5 kg x1x1 x1 x1
Then two sets of squats
Then onto persistent bi ceps
Seated incline dumbell bench sets to failure
Upright dumbell bi curls
Barbell bi curls
Seated pull downs
Overhead dumbell standing presses

Core what a bad session
My arms and shoulders were achy
My teeth playing up and little sleep
Saw my performance suffer
I have a half marathon on Saturday to
Warm up
1 lift of 57.5 kg overhead presses was all I maneged before dropping to 50 kg to carry on
Felt poorly so the rest of the session was light dumbells and light decline bench
Finishing with light leg extensions

A better day in the gym today
Warm up then straight to a 60 kg overhead press
Yes got there
Then 5 singles of 57.5 kgs far better than yesterday
Then cable double stack deadlifts
Cable double stack seated rows
Reverse  machine seated lat pull down to failure
Reverse machine standing chest presses to full stack failure

So I hit chest
Warm up flat bench heavy dumbell presses all sets to failure
Decline bench dumbells
Decline flies
Reverse chest press machine to failure
Kneeling on lat pull down machine to failure
Standard lat pull down
Light skull crushers and bi curls

Slept ok overnight
Iím racing a half marathon tomorrow
So a really light gym workout
Mostly talking but did attempt a new overhead pb of 62.5 kg which I failed
But pushed out 1 rep of 60 kg
Will try s smaller increase to get a new pb next week

Ran as Cher today in the brighton run to the music half marathon
 I did it in just over 2 hours in hot temperatures including a steep hill 7 times
Rested up afterwards
