PHEW

"Hi Nicola,

The rule is suspended if there is less than 3 months from via beginning of the year to the national comp. So you'll be fine."

Hi Nic,

As a new member, hope you don't mind my asking  - how have you got on? Your numbers look really strong so and hope you enjoyed competing.

Hiya - it's all in my journal but to summarise:
Qualifier end of Jan
squat 97.5
bench 60
deadlift 150
307.5 total

Nationals in March
squat 105
bench 60 (failed 2nd/3rd attempts)
deadlift 150 (failed 3rd attempt)
315 total

They're the only two PL comps I've done. I loved it Cheesy Hope to do more in future.

Thought they would be in your journal but didn't want to stalk you!

They are great numbers! I can only dream of lifts like that. Glad you enjoyed - hope you'll be back up on the platform in the future.

Haha the journal is there for reading Smiley

Thank you - pleased with them but would also like to do more in future. Hoping to do qualifier and Nationals again next year, maybe single lifts too(?)

Smiley Good luck for future comps. Not sure if I'll compete again, but am considering singles this year (Sept) and maybe M2 class next year. My totals are not as great as yours mind you so have work to do.

It's all relative - that's what I find interesting about PL. So many different lifts, openers, attempts. My gym is hosting a (BPU) comp this weekend and I've just been down to watch the deadlifts. Such a massive variation of numbers across just a couple of flights. But everyone doing what's good for themselves personally Cheesy

Do you lift with BDFPA?

Yeah I get what you mean, always chasing that Personal PB Smiley

I competed twice with the BDFPA in Wales, once in full power and once single lifts - I benched and deadlifted for that one as wasn't squatting at the time due to time restraints.

Not sure where I'll be in the future, but do like the idea of just setting my numbers down as an M2 next year, just because not women do in that age class and they've actively built the division over the last few years. I won't be getting to brits or anything though as never lift the right numbers for my weight. it's good fun though and I have friends in the fed so it's nice to support them on the day too.
