Cheers Dan, those are special pumps I'll have you know Grin

They are actually deadlift slippers that normally only get used for comps. I thought I'd bring them out specially for this challenge Wink

They are just basically slippers, similar soles but the tops are more like ankle sock material. They help because the thin soles bring you closer to the floor and reduce the distance of the lift. Barefoot or socks can be an option but at least the slippers offer some sort of padding/ protection for your feet Smiley

Being a strongman comp would that have been 9 half reppers from well above knee height Wink

Hi Felix, I've really chopped and changed things and have probably bitten off more than I can chew but figured what the hell I might as well go for it. Keeping with the general format of Bill Starrs 5x5, but have changed the midweek deadlift for the Ed Coad/ Mark Phillipi routine and have also replaced the squatting with an mini Russian squat routine. Bench and cleans I have kept as normal. Its an absolute killer, I train every other day and every workout starts with squatting, work sets starting at 182.5kg this time out - ouch! Grin

This was an earlier attempt that I never posted. Was all going smoothly til one of the discs came off, I was completely oblivious and wondered why my gym buddy suddenly looked worried, I thought the camera had stopped filming Angry

Apologies for the verbal outburst at around 1m 26secs. I think I'd have got the 8th rep on this occasion Cry
